Having healthy skin is the first step in looking more beautiful and youthful. At Pioneer Valley Plastic Surgery we treat all ages and types of skin. We offer laser skin treatments, laser hair removal, injectables, fillers, peels, as well as a carefully chosen selection of skin care products.

During your skin care consultation we'll discuss what bothers you about your skin and Dr. Johnson will recommend treatment that best targets your concerns.

Consultations

When you book a consultation, there is a $100 consultation fee. If you choose to have procedure with Dr. Johnson the $100 will go towards the fee.

We offer a variety of non-surgical treatments and surgical procedures. Botox and fillers remove or reduce facial wrinkles. Laser skin treatments can help eliminate pigmented and vascular lesions, reduce acne breakouts, remove unwanted hair and tighten loose skin. Skin peels and dermabrasion can help smooth out uneven skin.

Laser skin treatments

Our Sciton broadband light (BBL) Laser offers a variety of laser skin treatments including:

  • Pigmented lesions: pulsed light is used to destroy moles, sun damage spots, birthmarks, age spots, freckles. On average 1-3 treatments is recommended, 3 weeks apart.
  • Vascular lesions: pulsed light eliminates small blood vessels, spider veins, hemangiomas, rosacea.
  • Acne treatments: blue light reduces acne breakouts. Treatments are recommended 1-2 times per week for about 6 weeks.
  • SkinTightening: pulsed light is used to tighten the loose skin of the face, neck, and body. On average, 6 Laser skin tightening treatments are required for optimal results.

Laser hair removal

You can eliminate the pain of waxing and plucking unwanted hair with our laser hair removal service. A beam of laser light is used to penetrate the hair follicle and remove the hair. Laser hair removal can be performed on the face, underarms, abdomen, back, bikini area, legs, or any location with unsightly hair growth. On average you will require three to six treatments, about 4 weeks apart.

Scar revision

And if the appearance of facial scarring is bothering you, there are surgical procedures known as scar revisions that can help. While no scar can be removed completely, we can usually improve the appearance of a scar and make it much less noticeable.

Botox

One of our most popular non-surgical treatments, Botox Cosmetic injections, can help reduce or eliminates moderate to severe wrinkles between the brows (frown lines), the eyes (crow’s feet), the forehead and around the mouth. Botox Cosmetic works by relaxing the muscle and decreasing the appearance of the wrinkles in the injected areas. The effects last about four months.

Fillers

To help smooth out the facial wrinkles due to aging try Juvederm. This Hyaluronic Acid filler is used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles around the nose and mouth. It helps to reshape your facial contours and creates a more youthful appearance. Juvederm is FDA approved for the cosmetic treatment of facial wrinkles and soft tissue depressions.
